Seven of the 11 OSU teams coached by Gundy were not in the preseason rankings, and yet Gundy’s teams have become a common presence in the Top 25. In a program-record run of seven consecutive seasons, Oklahoma State has been a Top 25 program.
How does it work?
Each week, pick 16 college and NFL games and compare your picks to the infamous Picker. He will publish his picks each Thursday in the Tulsa World newspaper and online at tulsaworld.com/thepicker.
Are there prizes?
Yes! Grand Prize: Albert G’s BBQ Feast valued at $700. The winner receives dinner for up to 20 people. The winner needs to be 21 to claim the prize.
Did you play last season?
If so, sign back into the account you used last year. Not sure of your password? Have it sent to you.
New to the contest?
We have made it easier for you to beat The Picker. No point spreads.
Each week, you pick the winner of each game. You also must enter the score of one of the games, which will act as a tiebreaker. This is how the tiebreaker works: A winner will be determined by a formula that includes the difference in the tiebreaker scores from each individual real team score. If there are still any ties, we will look at who had the best record in the previous week. If there is still a tie, we will pick a winner at random.
How can you win?
You still must beat The Picker like in years past. Each week, the person who beat The Picker by the most correct games picked wins the weekly contest. At the end of the year, we will see who has beat him by the most games and that person will win the grand prize.
